Tywysog was the second son of Cadno and we chose to retain him as he was again of pure Coed Coch bloodlines.

He was lightly shown over the years; as a two-year-old colt he was second at the Royal Welsh and won many championships. He was also Section A Stallion Pony of the Year at the Northern Counties Ponies Association.

It is, however, as a sire that he made his mark with us. He sired two full brothers and two full sisters out of Nerwyn Leah - Nerwyn Llewelyn and Nerwyn Lawnslot; and Nerwyn Gwyrthiol and Nerwyn Lieta.   Llewelyn was exported to Jean Budler's Llandilo Stud in South Africa and Lawnslot is now being shown successfully under saddle. Gwyrthiol is now deceased and Lieta is under the ownership of Catrin Williams of the Deucoch Stud.

It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision to have to put this wonderful stallion to sleep at the age of eighteen. He has proved to be an invaluable asset to our stud, and his passing left a large void that would be extremely difficult to fill.
